Samsung LN32C530 32-Inch 1080p 60 Hz LCD HDTV (Black)
Nothing but problems with this one...
I was very excited about this purchase the price point is great and it is a Samsung. The first shipment got here quickly and I was happy to set it up. As soon as I turned on my PS3 I noticed the left speaker (they are hidden by the way which looks great!) would go in and out. I tried many different input devices and the sound problem continued so I knew it was the TV.
I sent it back (Amazon was great by the way) and got a replacement... no sound issues. I thought it was a simple mistake and I was unfortunate and happily set up the new one. Later that night I was watching a BD and noticed the screen would darken and lighten about every ten seconds over and over again. It continued to do this even as I turned the movie off and switched over to the X360. Called Samsung customer support and they basically told me I needed service the nice lady then recommended (since it was only a day old and all) I simply return it to the place of purchase for a new one. Well after two tries and both being lemons right out of the box I can't justify trying again. It's a shame because the picture quality is great exactly what you would expect from a Samsung and it was really hard for me to have to move on for another brand. I still plan on purchasing a Samsung but I won't lie and say this experience has made me very hesitant.
Keep in mind this is a very new model. I cannot recommend purchase of this set right now but I'm sure in the future it will get a lot stronger. Furthermore I could simply be extremely unlucky to get two lemons in a row.More detail ...
Sony BRAVIA EX 400 Series 32-Inch LCD TV Black
Terrific picture quality and features with a few sacrifices.
Here's my simple review of this Sony TV.
General outline of features:
1080p resolution
Picture adjustments
Audio adjustments (synthetic surround sound bass treble)
USB device support
HDMI x4
ECO-friendly options (power save level I and II)
Ambient sensor
The picture quality is outstanding there are numerous adjustments to make the picture look the way you want. Other adjustments include audio and settings for features. Full HD 1080p only makes it look even better. Sony advertises this TV with the "ambient" sensor that detects the lighting situation in your room so that it adjusts the backlight of the TV to compensate. I did some tests with the sensor on or off and it didn't make that much of a difference but the ambient sensor does work it will decrease the backlight of the TV if you're in a dark room (or at night) and increase it if the room is lit up. Features also included with this TV is the ability to play music photos and videos from a USB device which is great but I don't see myself using it. The thing that stands out with this TV set is its design. It looks like a piece of art once you remove the packaging materials. There are an influx of ports and connections on the rear and side. Component composite HDMI Audio VGA you name it it will have most likely have it.
My only two minor gripes about this TV is that the tuning is responsiveness of the TV's menu and tuning is fairly slow. It's not slow to the point where it bothers you but I'd say from the moment you push the channel up button on the remote until the time it actually displays the picture is around 2-3 seconds. It's not bad but its a minor gripe of mines. Another gripe I have about this TV is the price. It's certainly on the costly side for this class of TV but I believe it makes up for it in the design aspect. So if you're willing to spend a little more money to get a TV that actually looks great this TV is a good choice.
Overall this TV is great for the person who is willing to spend a little more money to get something that looks great without sacrificing picture quality.More detail ...
Samsung LN37C530 37-Inch 1080p 60 Hz LCD HDTV (Black)
started out ok
The tv came as planned and we unpacked it and set it up. The second day it was hooked up we started to hear a buzzing noise. Called Samsung and they sent out a tech to look at it. Now we are waiting for a whole new panel to be put in. Not sure how long that will take but hopefully we will have this problem taken care of soon. Samsung was very easy to deal with and the tech was great. Not happy with the buzzing but have to deal with it until the parts come in.More detail ...
Samsung LN32C350 32-Inch 720p 60 Hz LCD HDTV (Black)
Samsung LN32C350 Review from LCD TV Buying Guide
Picture Quality Performance: With 480i images we noted some jerky motion artifacts in the background of some scenes. However I did not see much offensive negatives in the foreground and was very pleased with the detail offered in 480i. The processors did a very nice job. Color rendition was not oversaturated if not sometimes a little muted.
With our Blu Ray set to 720p resolution to match the TVs resolution we were very impressed at the bright sharp images and intense color offered. The TV really has a lot of pop with HD material. We also did not note the negative background judder with HD material and this proved out with our HD HQV processor testing as well. Black levels were deep and occasionally oversaturated but not often enough to really be a strike against. Dark shadow detail was totally acceptable for a TV of this size and price range.
Off center viewing was average on this LCD TV with the contrast and black levels fading at around 35 degrees off angle - again not bad for this price range.
Calibration: Calibration through the menu was easy and the C350 did a nice job calibrating to near D6500K. There are advanced white balance controls included on this TV which is unusual for this price point. There are also many more advanced settings than I would have thought such as Black Tone Dynamic Contrast a Gamma setting and a nifty Flesh Tone setting that will take the onscreen flesh tones from a yellowish to a pinkish appearance at your whim without changing the overall color appearance of the picture much.
Picture settings as calibrated from the Custom Setting:
Backlight: 8
Contrast: 92
Brightness: 46
Sharpness: 10
Color: 53
Tint: Unchanged
Black Tone: Dark
Dynamic Contrast: Low
Gamma: +1
Color Space: Native
White Balance-
Rgain: 27
Roffset: 24
Flesh Tone: +1
Edge Enhancement: Off
As far as aesthetic considerations go the LN32C350 has straightforward design and better than the other 32" models on the market except the LG's. You almost cant believe how light the TV is upon lifting it a scant 15.7 pounds. The TV is 3.25" in depth and 8" with the stand. The included table stand is very light and inexpensive and the TV must be turned on its head and the table stand screwed on upside down to accomplish the assembly. It would be more convenient if Samsung would just include the stand already assembled on the TV same as some other manufacturers. The table top stand does not swivel side to side. The 2" bezel framing of the TV is gloss black and non-spectacular but does contain a sloped design element at the bottom.
Audio Output: The two inbuilt 5 watt speakers barely get the job done. From 10 feet the user will need to keep the volume control at 75% of total capacity. The volume quality also is lacking with a tinny character and no base - but that's about all you can expect from 5 watt speakers.

Proscan 32LB45Q 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV Black
Great TV for the price
This TV is quite impressive especially for the money. There are plenty of inputs many of which are conveniently located on the side of the panel. As far as the picture goes the color is fantastic and the contrast is pretty good as well. Where this TV falls short is the uneven back-lighting. In a low light setting watching a dark scene you can see portions of the screen are brighter than others which can be annoying at best and distracting at worst. Aside from that I have no complaints with the television. Were money no object I'm sure the Proscan would rate lower however the value you get out of this TV for the price is hard to match. It is a very fine budget LCD HDTV.More detail ...
